Incredibly flexible
The Kogna controller is amazing for not restricting what you can do with it in any way, but still offering support. I've been running one on a converted Milltronics VMC for several years now, and after some early adopter bugs it's been great. Many thanks to Tom for answering my questions and even adding features to KmotionCNC at my request. About to start a second Kogna controlled retrofit!

In the process of exploring Kogna/Konnect
I didn't get the time to test the Kogna/Konnect fully yet but the support I'm getting from Tom is outstanding.
Kogna looks promising for what I'm trying to build but there is a steep learning curve in remembering and coding in C/C++ which prevents me to advance faster.
On the other side with AI (chatGPT and gemini) and Amazon Q I can understand easily the architecture and how various compoentns work and talk to one another and where are the points where I can put in my customizations

Very good cnc controller. Many functions and great customization possibilities. I already use the kogna controller for 3 mills (two 3 axis and one 3+2 axis) and one lathe.

Excellent controller
Used a KFlop on a 5 axis CNC project.
Kogna excellent on last two projects using 8 axis analogue servo control for special purpose machines.
Great to have analogue output on the board.
Having the software open source combined with the screen editor makes it easy to configure for the intended application.
Will certainly use on other projects in the future.

Dynomotion hardware, software, and support
Twenty five years ago I invested in a large CNC router. The hardware boards were custom from the manufacturer and required four separate power amplifiers.
The designs had to be imported as a dxf file. The software produced a binary file that was unreadable and not user friendly. There was no G-code to view or edit.Â
Very frustrating.
Twelve years ago I searched for a way to upgrade the hardware, control and software. The KFLOP, KSTEP and KConnect boards along with the KMotion software provided the answer. For family member health reasons I have been away from the CNC router for a handful of years. Lately, I have regained interest from viewing YouTube videos of 4th axis accessories to CNC routers. The KMotionCNC software and the KSTEP board provided an elegant path to accomplishing this goal.
The support from Tom K. at Dynomotion is beyond exceptional. He knows the hardware and the software and provides timely email assistance.
The Dynomotion motion controllers, expansion boards and software are a superior CNC solution.
I highly recommend Dynomotion hardware, software and stellar support.

I stumbled across Dynomotion about a decade ago when I bought my first CNC to retrofit. the hardware and software have been great but what has kept me coming back is the service. Why to change-it when works fine?
I met the concept 12 years ago. I was impressed by good on coherent distribution of signals. Later on I was also impressed by ground . Man: good ground on every aspect. On the beginning I had 3 then 5 source all grounded on Kanalog. Fine and smooth.Picture below will show : same part of Kanalog: 2013,2015,2019 and 2024 of my personal industrial use

Fagor 8050 Retrofit
The machine is a Kondia Mill, 1994, with 1600 x 510 x 510 mm each axis. Originally was fitted with Fagor 8050 CNC, but died. Was replaced in almost 1 week, the inputs and outputs were respected even the connectors. If the owner wants to get a used Fagor CNC, it's just install it again. I've made a plug and play cabinet with the original connectors. Obviously the easy part was to get everything working with Kflop, Kanalog and a Kconnect. In the future, the tool changer will be installed too.

When you buy a CNC product there are 2 critical aspects to consider, are you getting a quality product and does the company provide support. Tom and the staff at Dynomotion knocked both of these requirements out of the park. Having spent a good deal of my career building circuit boards I can tell you the quality of the product is impeccable. When it comes to support there are 2 users groups, one on CNC Zone and one on Yahoo. Tom, the CEO, personally monitors and responds to questions and concerns that are posted. I had never programmed in C but by reading the posts and responses and by asking questions directly to Tom I have been able to get my machine up and running with all of the bells and whistles I was hoping for. I can highly recommend that Dynomotion be placed at the top of your shopping list for CNC control products
